Aha!

Pretty fun :D
In contrast to the previous review, I think it's fine to cut off your notes to get a bit of a stutter effect if utilized intentionally. The progression of the melody is pretty monotonous but I think it would serve as good BGM for a little flash project.

DnB

This is the essence of an awesome dnb song. I love it :D

Impressive

I often aspire to create such emotionally moving pieces such as this. You could implement more dynamic contrast throughout the piece; however the motion of score is consistent... I think some additional auxiliary could be added to give it more flavor. Overall, very nice!

Setu-Firestorm responds:

Thank you. It's hard to think back enough to say that this piece is actually 6 years old now. =S

I'm actually writing the screenplay (84-pages in, currently) to the production that this piece, and a couple others here, were originally intended to establish themes for.

Thanks for the input. When I actually get to scoring that scene once I finish making it (which'll likely be a year or so from now) it'll sound very different, but I will be using this as its base theme.

Background music

The sound is solid and clear! It sounds like something from a movie, the vocals are cool, but it gets stale too quickly; I like the change at 1:16, and the rebuild into the original rep. Aside from mild monotony, nice brass/string/vocal sound.

Oh my god.

This is the most beautiful song I've ever heard and it is and always will be my favorite song of yours. It makes me feel so good inside; I get tingles on my back.

I don't know how you put it together and how you get so much emotion in the sound but it really works and makes an impact. You're definitely in my top 5 favorite artists of all time lol

Conclusive

I don't know how you do it or what you do, but your music is always incredible. By the way, do you utilize Edison inside FL? I always use Audacity because I like the UI better. Aside from that, I haven't seen Departed the movie, but whatever the circumstance, I find this tune a great conclusion to anything. I just wish glitch/breakcore was accepted more widely in pop culture. It's just weird alien to sounds to most of the people I introduce it to.

Also, if I recall correctly, RAM is at a low due to the depression, so might as well stock up (I have little knowledge of economics xD). But nevertheless, 10/10 for cornandbeans!

cornandbeans responds:

I just recently started using edison, It works wonders for resampling. It takes some practice to get used to but it's wayyy faster than using audacity.

Good

I like it all except I just can't get into the drum beat somehow. There are some distortions and pops and clicks when the bass plays that you might want to fix. Overall I'd say this was worth listening to.

Telliath responds:

Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Beautiful

I feel that the one instrument that pans and goes boop bee boop could be be quieter and should just carry the song because it seems throughout the whole song it is leading the song being louder than most of the instruments. I personally would change the hi-hat at 2:12, but that's all in taste. I absolutely love how you put in all the percussion and the pan flute's melody. I like it a lot :]

Rawmin responds:

Wow, thanks for the very in depth review, I may change some of those things!

Fave

This is my favorite one by you. It's a bit repetitive, but it's a good loop.

Telliath responds:

Thanks! I didn't know I had fans :) I'm going to be adding in vocals. I have a much better version saved to my desktop with more variation but I have to tweak certain things. Thanks for the review :)
